MBF New Service in the ‘Data Is King’ Brave New Digital World

MBF’s new 4GB Pro service is equivalent to uploading 3000 floppy disks!

MailBigFile has announced the arrival of a new 4GB upload Pro service for data transmission. Director Steve Barber said, speaking to a layman, ‘in old money this is like uploading 3,000 floppy disks’. Put like that, it’s impressive.

Three thousand of those old floppies would take up a lot of space, and more importantly, time to digest and distribute.

The news set me thinking about data. It’s any sort of information, really, and we have always had it. Today, though, we have more of it, and want it shipped in the literal blink of an eye at a cost which is affordable and sensible with a reliability that is second to none.

Steve prides himself that he and his team deliver that, particularly through the Pro service.

Desktop Application Update Notes

Utilizing the power of Adobe to bring forth media rich applicationsJust a small blog post detailing out some updates we’ve made to the Desktop Application with regards to some of the feedback we’ve received. They are as follows:

Fixed the timeout issue for some when uploading files:

It was or has been reported to us that some of you were experiencing timeout issues when attempting to upload some files on our services, especially larger files. We believe we have now got to the bottom of the issue and the timeout issue should no longer occur. If however you still experience timeouts when uploading files on the Desktop Application, please drop us a line at email hidden; JavaScript is required.

Fixed an issue which occurred while cancelling an upload:

There was another issue we noticed when testing the program again before release with uploads not cancelling properly when you hit cancel during an upload. Instead, you’d simply get an error message. We also believe this should now be fixed for anyone who was having that issue.

There were also a couple of typos in the program which have also been rectified.

Upcoming Features:

Upload History Button: This will allow you to view your Upload History from within the Desktop Application. We’ll also add proper functionality to this list in a future update.

Clear All Button: To simply allow you to clear the list of files that has been populated during your session.

We also want to make this application available for Business Users but we can’t at this moment in time say when this will be available.

You can also download the new version of this application here. However you should be prompted to update if you simply open the version currently available on your desktop if you have previously downloaded it.

MailBigFile Partners With TrustPilot To Gather User Reviews

Trustpilot Review SiteIn order to continue to improve our service to our customers, we have partnered with the independent review site Trustpilot to collect customer reviews.

Trustpilot is a review aggregate site that is specifically tailored for online shops or online services, like ours. It also allows Businesses to pull in only valid customer data so that potential customers viewing the reviews knows that the reviews are genuine and from paying customers.

We also plan to use Trustpilot to get a good idea of the kind of service customers are getting and whether we’re performing in the way that we’d expect. Ideally, we’d like everyone to give us 5 stars however this is obviously unlikely; instead, we’re hoping to gather many reviews so we can see where we currently stand with our users as a whole.

If you want to put your voice out there about us and give us a rating, you can do so by going to www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.mailbigfile.com. You should be able to see other users reviews about us on this page too.

You don’t have to create a Trustpilot account in order to review, but you do need to provide a valid MailBigFile email address in order to review. However, the review is a simple three step process for you to have your say. Nice and simple, just the way we like it here at MailBigFile.

So, let us know what you think!
