It’s the end of another week and it’s time for another top 5 of the week.
1. Feature Update – Address Box Size Increased.
2. Service Update – Issue with Custom Form Field Fixed.
3. New Feature – IP Address Added to File Tracking Page.
4. Service Update – Blog Template to be Spruced Up Very Soon.
5. Service Update – Short Links for Business Accounts Now Rolling Out.
One small change we’ve made this week is to increase the size of the address box. We had a few calls (including from our survey) that the current size of the address box was too small, especially for those of you who had many addresses stored in your address box.
Well, now this has been remedied and the address box has been enlarged to cater for those who have many addresses in their address box. This increase in size has been replicated onto both the Pro and Business Accounts.
There was an issue brought to our attention by one of our customers whereby the data in Custom Form Fields would not be replicated across all recipients for a Business Account and instead, only for the original or default recipient.
However, this has now been fixed and all recipients should receive the relevant information for the Custom Form Fields and their data.
Very recently on the blog, we had a call to make tracking who specifically downloaded a file from a user easier to track. Although we like the simplicity of being able to download a file without having to log in, we thought up another way to help you keep track of who and where a file is downloaded.
So, we’ve added the IP address of the sender to your file tracking page. Now whenever a file is downloaded, you can see exactly where it has been downloaded from. If it’s been downloading from a location you weren’t expecting, you know it might be time to delete the file.
The MailBigFile blog has started to make grounds in it’s viewing, with more and more coming to and viewing our posts everyday. With this in mind, we felt that the blog could also do with a restyling to match our more contemporary audience.
This rebranding should take effect very shortly, with the likelihood that the changes will be live for all to see next week.
Last week we announced that we were going to introduce short links for Business Accounts, much like how the Pro and Free service currently have.
Well it’s now in its final stages and we’re going to be rolling this out if not today then by next week. We’ll start by only doing it on a few new members before rolling this out across the broad.
