The TouchPad, the US giant HP’s rival to the Apple iPad, has been withdrawn from sale after only a month, a flop. It failed to make any significant headway against the tablet computer from Apple.

It was launched in the US on 1st July, followed by the UK on 15 July and Australia on 15 August. Sales were disappointingly low from the start, and even price cuts failed to stimulate much interest.

So once again, the mighty Apple carries all before it in terms of quality technology and innovation.
